Welcome to Sunnyside Up Breakfast and Lunch Cafe, a delightful gem tucked away in the heart of Albuquerque, NM. This breakfast haven is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in mouthwatering morning and midday fare. The café is located at 6909 Menaul Blvd NE Suite A, easily accessible for locals and visitors alike, and can be reached at +1 505-888-3447.

The menu at Sunnyside Up is a vibrant tapestry of flavors, offering a range of dishes that celebrate the joy of breakfast. Whether you opt for the Garden Frittata, a luxurious open-faced omelette brimming with fresh greens and savory roasted mushrooms, or the beloved Avocado Toast — with its creamy avocado and perfectly cooked eggs — your taste buds are in for a treat. The Cambridge Skillet, layered with ham, bacon, and topped with creamy hollandaise, is not just a dish; it’s an experience to savor. Similarly, the Mexican Skillet brings the zest of chorizo and green chiles, ensuring every bite is packed with excitement.

Those looking for a delightful sandwich can indulge in the Classic Club, layered with succulent meats and cheeses, or experience the hearty Turkey Reuben, which redefines what a lunch option can be. Each dish is prepared thoughtfully, and the portions are generous, ensuring you'll leave feeling satisfied.

The dining atmosphere is as inviting as the food itself. With a retro vibe and outdoor seating, Sunnyside Up radiates warmth and friendliness. The café's female ownership adds a personal touch that resonates with patrons, making it a welcoming spot for families, friends, and even solo diners looking for a cozy nook. Customers often highlight the attentive service as a standout feature, with many mentioning the wonderful staff who enhance the dining experience without being overbearing.

Customer experiences speak volumes. Eric Prado raved about the thick slices of ham in his Eggs Benedict, noting that it outshines many other breakfasts he had during his travels. Alysha Valdez echoed this sentiment with her stellar review of the crunchy waffles, calling the service "thoughtful, kind, and incredibly attentive." On the flip side, reviews do mention a busy atmosphere, particularly during peak hours, which might lead to a wait, but the food and friendly service more than make up for it.

For those craving a truly indulgent brunch experience, consider pairing your meal with one of their refreshing mimosas. The café encourages visitors to savor quality over quantity, making every dish a celebratory affair. Just ask Joe Dore, who left raving about his breakfast skillet and jaw-dropping cinnamon roll, leaving no room for doubt that Sunnyside Up is the place to be.

Whether you're starting your day or enjoying a leisurely lunch, Sunnyside Up Breakfast and Lunch Cafe delivers on quality, flavor, and a welcoming atmosphere that beckons you to return. Don't miss out on this local treasure where every meal genuinely feels like a sunny start to your day!

I wish I had discovered Sunnyside Up before I left Albuquerque to head home. I love Eggs Benedict and will usually steer towards those at a restaurant as I can have the usual breakfast items at home. I was highly impressed with the meal as it came out. This had thick slices of ham which compared to another restaurant I had eggs benedict at earlier in my trip, there was barely any meat there. The potatoes were nicely seasoned too. I had an ice coffee to drink and unlike others I had, this wasn’t watered down and came with refills. If I make my way back to Albuquerque I will come back to dine here. Staff were friendly and attentive as well.

From start to finish, everything was amazing. I had a waffle that was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, which says a lot! There was also plenty of vegetarian options which I really appreciate! The service really stood out. Our server was thoughtful, kind, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming. As someone with a service dog, I also want to highlight how accessible and accommodating the space was. There was plenty of room for my dog and me, and not once did I feel out of place or uncomfortable. That kind of consideration means a lot. Highly recommend Sunnyside for a great meal and a genuinely positive experience. We’ll definitely be back!

The food portion is huge. The picture shown is 1/2. The food quality was okay. The breakfast steak fajitas were rubbery when chewing and too much spice. The iced hazelnut coffee was as good as star bucks. They use cheap barefoot champagne for their mimosas. Check out and check in area very tight squeeze and slow. Amazing server!

Updated review: I came back to try lunch, and this is the second time I was "mmmmmmming" all through my meal! My server Mireya was awesome! Cream of mushroom soup to die for, turkey Reuben (meats here are deli sliced but NOT deli meat), and Greek salad on the triple play. I also got the iced coffee, and the cafe gave me an additional iced coffee to go! Manager Jessica was knowledgeable, helpful, and enthusiastic. Original review: I finally tried this cute little place near the mall. My server Roxanne's recommendation of the Parisian Benedict was spot on! I loved every bite-poached eggs nice and runny, flavorful combo of cheese, ham, eggs, seasonings, and half croissant. I also enjoyed the coffee, which was strong enough for this Italian girl! I really liked the fresh garden greens on the side. Dining room warm and welcoming, staff friendly and helpful. Like many places now, bring cash to avoid the fee for using a card. Highly recommend.

This is a great breakfast and lunch place. It has great service as well as a friendly atmosphere. I got a breakfast skillet it has; potatoes, green chili, and eggs any style . The meat I choose was sirloin steak. I also ordered a cinnamon roll that was out of this world!

Sunnyside Up Cafe in Uptown Albuquerque is a welcoming women-owned gem for breakfast and brunch. The retro vibe and outdoor seating make it family-friendly, with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Portions are generous, prices reasonable, and coffee plentiful. Service was friendly but the place got busy, leading to a short wait. Great for a hearty start to the day

OK, guys I was headed for Denny's when I landed in Albuquerque, NM. The gal at the Avis counter told me to go to Sunnyside Up Breakfast & Lunch Cafe. Well, let me tell you, this place gets two thumbs up right off the bat! First of all, there pricing is under Denny's. I ordered the Egg Ceptional Omelette. My server, Lilly offered coffee. Then she gave me the list of available flavored coffees that is served to you in a freshly brewed pot at the table! The place was a mob scene, in a good way. I definitely strongly recommend this Cafe when you are in Albuquerque! BTW, If you stay at the Sheraton next door, you get a discount off your meal!
